The Women of Wine of Lombardy offer a Conference with tasting “Goblets in the Race… stories of wine and consciousness” guided reflections at the Mille Miglia Museum.
In a world where passions are intertwined with science, three seemingly distant universes – wine, motors and medicine – find surprising points of contact in the event conceived and promoted by The Women of Wine of Lombardy, in the prestigious venue of the Mille Miglia Museum in Brescia. Wine, a symbol of conviviality and millenary culture, tells stories of fertile lands, expert hands and slow-moving time. Engines, roaring and precise, represent progress, adrenaline, the
constant challenge against the limits of speed and mechanics; Brescia is the custodian of a unique tradition, with the historic Mille Miglia race, scheduled just June 17-21, an initiative that is now a candidate for UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Finally, medicine is the beating heart of knowledge applied to life, the guardian of well-being and the silent guide in humanity’s journey toward health.
The Brescia event of Le donne del vino di Lombardia, hinging on these three themes that will be will intertwine during the evening, will be held on June 19, at the Mille Miglia Museum (via della Bornata, 13 Brescia).
The panel discussion will focus on the theme -balance and alcohol abuse, well-being, pleasantness and criticality- and will feature Dr. Luca Saverio Belli, Director of Hepatology and Gastroenterology at Niguarda Hospital and Dr. Adelaide Panariello, Psychiatrist at Niguarda Hospital as speakers. The moderator will be Pia Donata Berlucchi, president of Fratelli Berlucchi’s Freccianera winery and “cultural counterpart” of the Lombard wine world to the medical
scientific vision.
This will be followed by a tasting of Brescian wines from Le Donne del Vino di Lombardia, curated by Camilla Guiggi, Ais speaker and taster, with support from Onav Lombardia. At the opening, at 6 p.m., it will be possible to visit the Mille Miglia Museum.
The entrance fee is 30 euros per person. All proceeds will be donated to the Associazione Rete Daphne Onlus, an anti-violence center in the West Bresciano region, in continuity with the “Women and Work” project, which began in October 2024 with the aim of creating job placements for women coming out of paths of violence and starting a new life.
